CINCINNATI — Flipdaddy’s Brilliant Burgers and Craft Beer Bar, likely the only restaurant in Greater Cincinnati to offer the sacrilegious satisfaction of a burger topped with grilled macaroni and cheese, filed Dec. 6 for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
According to documents filed by CEO Tom Sacco, the company owes more than $2 million to 19 creditors, including food and drink suppliers as well as multiple management consulting firms. The documents indicate the company’s financial straits arose at least partially from the failure of a now-closed Flipdaddy’s location in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Four locations -- two in Northern Kentucky and two in Ohio -- remained at the time of the filing.
Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows a business to continue operation with a court-approved plan for repaying its creditors.
