NEWPORT, Ky. — Fifteen local artists and merchants will sell goods on a rotating basis at a new artisan market coming to Newport on the Levee.

The Exchange will open in November in the former Barnes and Noble building. An 11,000-square-foot indoor artisan market will be located on the first floor, and the second floor will be used for office spaces.

The first round of vendors at The Exchange will be curated with the holidays in mind. Ripple Wine Bar is the first vendor to be announced for the space.

The Covington-based wine bar, known for its charcuterie boards, will have a bar in the center of the market during the holiday season. Patrons can have a glass of wine and a cheese board at the bar or take their bottles and boards to go.

The Exchange will connect with Bridgeview Box Park, the Levee’s outdoor food court that opened in June. North American Properties will soon weatherproof Bridgeview so people can enjoy the food and drinks year-round. Patrons will be able to access Bridgeview through a new entrance at the market level of The Exchange.

The upstairs level of The Exchange will hold office spaces that are furnished, wired and move-in ready. Office suites range from 4,000 to 16,000 square feet.
