A long-lost wallet has been reunited with its owner, Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, around 15 years after it was lost, thanks to some children playing in the woods in their neighborhood.
The Sheriff tweeted Tuesday morning that Chad Oberholtzer and his kids, Brooke and Drew, discovered the wallet when the kids were playing a game in the woods near their home.
Jones' Tweet showed photos of the wallet's contents, which included an old drivers' license bearing his name and photo, several cards and a muddy, worn Butler County Sheriff's badge, leaving no question of to whom the discovered wallet belonged.
Thank you to Chad Oberholtzer and his kids Brooke and Drew for finding my wallet. Brooke and Drew told their dad to set the timer for 30 mins to see if they could "survive the wilderness " while playing in the neighborhood woods 😂😂 they found my wallet i lost 12-15 years ago.. pic.twitter.com/TKtNw6SMaj
