MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — Police have arrested and charged an 18-year-old in connection with a Middletown man’s death, saying the teen took drugs and money from the victim’s home.
Officers responded to a shooting at a residence on the 800 block of Ninth Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday.
Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Michael O’Neil Stewart II of Middletown.
Middletown Police Major Scott Reeve said Cameron Scott Kyles, 18, has been arrested and charged with Stewart’s murder. Police said they believe Kyles targeted Stewart and took drugs and money from his home.
