MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — A 19-year-old accused of shooting his 17-year-old girlfriend in the pelvis during an argument last month was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to the Journal-News.
Daniel Calhoun was found around 5:45 p.m. hiding in the basement of the victim’s house in the 1300 block of Young Street in Middletown and was taken into custody without incident, the Middletown Division of Police posted on social media.
A warrant for Calhoun’s arrest on charges of felonious assault and having weapons under disability for the May 14 shooting was filed through Middletown Municipal Court.
Middletown police asked for assistance from the Cincinnati Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to find Calhoun.
The ATF offered a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of Calhoun, aka Javion Houghley. It is not clear whether anyone will be eligible for reward money in Calhoun’s arrest.
