Middletown schools holding large auction Friday, Saturday

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Do you miss middle school? Now you can take a piece of it home with you.

The Middletown City School District is auctioning off a variety of items from Vail Middle School Friday and Saturday. 

Items up for auction include scoreboards, school buses, large kitchen appliances and classroom furniture. 

On Friday, the school will auction off surplus vehicles, restaurant equipment and architectural/structural elements. Anyone wanting to bid on architectural elements will need to provide documentation of at least $1 million in liability insurance. Click here for more information.

There will be a general auction on Saturday that will include a variety of items like tablet arm chairs, doors, TVs and other electronics, lockers, fitness equipment, bike racks, more kitchen equipment, a kiln and hood, band instruments and more.

The auction is being held at Vail Middle School, 1415 Girard Avenue in Middletown. The Friday auction starts at 1:30 p.m. The Saturday auction starts at 10:30 a.m. All items will be sold "as is." Buyers must have valid ID. They will accept cash, check or credit card with a 3 percent buyer's premium.
