LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Liberty Township firefighter John Meyer was on the front line inside a burning house, something he said he's experienced many times.
What happened next was all new to Meyer, but the stories he's heard about it was deadly: He fell through the floor of the burning house and was stuck.
"I was crawling and just happened to hit a hole that must have burned through the floor," Meyer said. "I had zero visibility and it was a very tight hallway."
He was scared but he kept pushing, and when a fellow firefighter pulled him out, Meyer got back to work.
