PD: Middletown man dies in hospital Tuesday morning after shooting

HAMILTON — A man from Middletown died after he was shot and taken to the hospital Tuesday morning, according to police.

The Hamilton Police Department wrote in a news release that Brandon York, 30, was shot near the intersection of South Twelfth and Hanover streets in Hamilton, Ohio, Tuesday morning. After he was shot, York was dropped off at the Bethesda Butler Hospital around 5 a.m. where he eventually died from his injuries.

It is not known how York arrived at the hospital before his death.

Police wrote this is not a random act and the victim and suspects are known to each other. No one is in custody right now though, according to police.
