ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A young man injured in a Tuesday afternoon explosion and fire has died, family members said Friday. Logan Keebler, 21, was among five people injured by the blast at Midwest Ammunition.
According to police, the explosion was caused by a stray spark that came into contact with gunpowder. State fire marshals said they would investigate further.
Three of the five victims were treated and released shortly after the incident. Keebler and one other were hospitalized were more severe injuries.
Keebler was a graduate of Talawanda High School. Talawanda School District officials described him as having been well-liked by everyone there.
“We are heartbroken for his family and for the community,” spokeswoman Holli Morrish said.
