GEORGETOWN, Ohio — Twenty potential witnesses from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital could be called to testify that Charles and Margaret Breeze starved and abused an 11-year-old girl under the married couple’s care, the Brown County News Democrat reported Wednesday.

A bill of particulars filed on Feb. 28 includes a list of potential evidence and witnesses. It alleges that the victim was hospitalized for 10 days after the Breezes withheld food from her as punishment and locked her in a separate trailer behind their home.

The bill reveals that the Brown County prosecutor has shared numerous documents with defense attorneys, including reports from the Brown County Department of Job and Family Services, medical records, an incident report from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, medical records on two other children and written statements from four witnesses.

The Breezes are scheduled for pre-trial hearings this month.
