GEORGETOWN, Ohio — Authorities in Brown County are searching for an inmate who escaped from jail on Tuesday evening.

According to Brown County Dispatch, 40-year-old Hobert Roark escaped from the Brown County Jail and fled in an unknown direction. He escaped by damaging a security window leading out to an impound lot, the Brown County Sheriff's Office said.

Roark also escaped from the facility in November. He was captured a day later outside of the Goodwill store in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Brown County Sheriff’s officers, Georgetown Police, Higginsport Police, and Ohio State Highway Patrol searched the area around Georgetown for Roark but did not locate him Tuesday night.

Roark was originally being held on charges including burglary, grand theft, receiving stolen property, failure to comply with a police officer and possession of firearms under a disability. He'll soon face a second escape charge, too, according to the sheriff's office.

Anyone with information concerning Roark's location is asked to call Detective Sergeant Quinn Carlson at (937) 378-4435, extension 130.
