UNION, Ky. — Police in Boone County arrested a Union man Monday accused of multiple sex crimes, including raping, sodomizing and sexually abusing children.
On Wednesday, detectives with the Boone County Sheriff's Office received a report of sexual abuse and interviewed the victims at the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center.
The juvenile victims told detectives the abuse had occurred on different occasions over many years, according to the sheriff's office.
Detectives then interviewed 47-year-old Jonathan Anderson, and he confessed to multiple counts of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse, police said.
He now stands charged with two counts of first-degree sodomy, one count of first-degree rape and four counts of first-degree sexual abuse. All are felony charges involving children under 12 years old.
Anderson is currently lodged at the Boone County Detention Center. He was arraigned Thursday morning on a $250,000 cash bond. His case is still pending, according to jail records.
