UNION, Ky. — Deputies requested the public’s help in locating Earl Callen, a 39-year-old man whom family members said experienced a psychotic episode before leaving home Dec. 30.
Boone County Sheriff's Office officials said in a news release they believe Callen is in danger.
On Sunday, Boone County Water Rescue and the Boone County Sheriff's Office responded to a report about a body found in a pond at the 12300 block of Lower River Road, police said in a press release. The deceased male has been preliminatily identified as Earl Callen.
According to the release, Callen disappeared into the woods near his Lower River Road home, leaving his cell phone behind. Family members contacted police the following day when he did not return.
