UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — One motorcyclist is dead after a Saturday night crash in Union Township, according to officials.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Dean Williams, 51, was driving his motorcycle east on State Route 125 near Beverly Drive around 9:30 p.m. when he crossed the center line into on-coming traffic. When he did, Williams was struck by a car heading the opposite direction.
First responders transported Williams to Anderson Mercy Hospital, but he was pronounced dead while there.
Police said Williams was not wearing a helmet when he crashed, and they believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
The crash is still being investigated.
