HEBRON, Ky. — One person injured in a workplace incident at the Amazon hub construction site at CVG airport has died, according to Boone County Coroner Missy Rittinger.
Rittinger identified the victim as 46-year-old Loren Shoemake of Campbell County, who died of blunt force trauma.
CVG first responders were initially called to a “workplace injury” incident that occurred at a construction site on airport grounds at about 12:24 p.m., according to Mindy Kershner, CVG senior communications manager.
According to Kershner, more information may be released from Kokosing or Columbus Steel. WCPO has reached out to them for more information.
