FLORENCE, Ky. — Police have arrested a suspect in Florida wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Florence last week.
With the help of the Boone County Sheriff's Office and Taylor Mill Police Department, police in Pinellas County, Florida tracked down and arrested 18-year-old Robert A. Pence of Taylor Mill on Tuesday.
Pence now stands charged with the murder of 22-year-old Daniel Darden, who was found shot in the Walnut Creek Apartments parking lot on Shenandoah Drive Jan. 15. Darden was rushed to St. Elizabeth Hospital Florence, where he was pronounced dead.
Pence, who was located in St. Petersburg, Florida, also faces three counts of wanton endangerment. He has been lodged in Pinellas County Jail awaiting extradition back to Kentucky, according to Florence Police.
