FLORENCE, Ky. — One person has died and another was hospitalized after a vehicle struck them on Burlington Pike Monday evening, according to Florence Police.
Florence police and firefighters responded near Woodspoint Drive for a report of two pedestrians struck just before 7 p.m. One of the pedestrians was transported to UC Hospital by medical helicopter, where she remains in stable condition.
The other, 56-year-old Jeanie Kinney of Newport, was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Florence Hospital.
The Florence Police Accident Reconstruction Team is continuing their investigation. Police did not release any information on a potential suspect, and they ask anyone with more information about the crash to call (859) 647-5420.
