FLORENCE, Ky. -- A man who escaped the Boone County Detention Center and remained on the lam for four months was recaptured Monday outside a McDonald's, according to Florence police.
Anthony Howard, 37, had been imprisoned on drug trafficking charges when he walked away from a work detail at the detention center Oct. 23, 2017.
He remained missing until Monday, when Florence officers said they saw his vehicle leaving a McDonald's on Dream Street.
They arrested him "without incident," according to a news release. Howard will face additional charges for escape, parole violation and failing to appear in court for his initial drug trafficking charge.
