Republican Congressman Brad Wenstrup has been reelected to represent Ohio's 2nd District for the fifth time, according to the Associated Press.
Wenstrup, first elected in 2012, took more than 60% of the vote late Tuesday, defeating Democratic challenger Jaime Castle, an educator and small business owner.
Wenstrup is a decorated Iraq War veteran, and is still a reservist in the U.S. Army Reserves. He is also credited with aiding Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who was shot in 2017 at a Congressional charity baseball game in Alexandria, Virginia.
Wenstrup currently sits on the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Ohio's 2nd district spans parts of eight counties including Hamilton, Clermont, Brown, Highland and Adams.
