BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A 41-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times in an apparently unprovoked attack by a 28-year-old Cincinnati woman Sunday afternoon, according to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office.
Jessica Lewis, of Cincinnati, was arrested and charged with felonious assault, according to a news release.
The victim, who knew Lewis, was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries. Her name has not been released.
The attack happened after 5 p.m. at a residence in the 100 block of Bay Meadow Drive in Batavia Township, according to sheriff’s office. Road patrol deputies quickly responded to a call and apprehended Lewis.
Lewis is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing at 10 a.m. Monday at Clermont County Municipal Court. The Prosecutor’s Office will consider additional charges to be presented to a grand jury, according to the release.
