Police: Woman didn't tell partner of HIV status

Posted

CINCINNATI -- An 18-year-old woman faces felony charges after police say she exposed a man to HIV.

Dawn Booker is charged with assault after police said had sex with a man but did not disclose her condition, though she knew she'd tested positive for HIV.

Booker was arraigned on the charges Thursday and is being held on a $5,000 bond.

Police said Booker was a senior at Dohn Community High School.

No other details have been provided.

Correction: This story has been updated to indicate Booker is accused of exposing the man to HIV, not of giving him HIV. WCPO regrets this error.
