LEBANON, Ohio -- A Carlisle resident was sentenced Monday to six years in prison for sexually assaulting two girls left in his care.
A Warren County jury found 39-year-old Orland Helton guilty last month of two counts of gross sexual imposition for the assaults on the juvenile victims.
Helton repeatedly assaulted the girls in his home, according to Prosecutor David Fornshell. He said Helton told the girls not to tell anyone about what happened, but they did eventually report the incidents to an adult who contacted police.
In addition to the prison sentenced, Helton has been registered as a Tier II sex offender. Judge Timothy Tepe ordered him to have no contact with any children.
