Two shootings 12 hours apart were related, Hamilton police say

HAMILTON, Ohio -- Police identified the man killed in a shooting early Saturday and arrested a suspect in another shooting that happened just a block away later the same day.

The first shooting happened at the corner of South Front and Wilson streets at about 1:13 a.m. Police said 42-year-old Aldon Litman and another man had an argument before shots were fired, hitting both men. Litman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other man was driver to a local hospital and treated for multiple gunshot wounds. Police said the second man is in "stable condition." 

The second shooting happened about a block away, near the corner of South Front and Hurm streets, at about 1:15 p.m. Police said it was related to the earlier shooting.

Scott Jones Sr., 47, shot another man, police said. The victim was treated at a local hospital and is in "Stable condition." Officers arrested Jones. He's facing a charge of felonious assault.
