CINCINNATI -- The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is investigating after a dead male Cane Corso was found tied up Friday morning on Settle Street in Madisonville.
The animal's rear legs were bound with rope when passersby discovered it near the intersection with Roe Street at about 7:20 a.m. Friday.
SPCA spokeswoman Nyketa Gaffney said it appeared to be a "hauling incident" where someone was moving the dog and abandoned it. Gaffney could not comment further on the open investigation.
WCPO will update this story as more details become available.
