LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Ohio — A 25-year-old man is charged with murder in the death of 17-year-old Dante Harrington, who was shot last week, officials said. The teen died at the hospital.
Randy Munachimso Akabuaku, a resident of Pickaway County near Columbus, was taken into custody Wednesday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to reports of a person shot at 949 Adams Streets in Lincoln Heights the evening of Sept. 13. There, they found Harrington with gunshot wounds.
Akabuaku is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. He was arraigned Thursday and is being held on a $750,000 bond. Akabuaku's case goes before a grand jury on Sept. 30.
Jaylan Hardy, 18, was also shot in Lincoln Heights on Sept. 13, less than two hours after Harrington was shot. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said this shooting is not related to the murder of Harrington and remains under investigation.
