Police: Newport man escapes from Frankfort jail

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State Police say they are looking for a Newport man who escaped from a jail in Frankfort.

Joseph Gramer II, 29, escaped from the Franklin County Regional Jail around 9 p.m. Friday, according to KSP. KSP said it wasn’t notified until 10:50 Saturday morning.

Investigators say they have no information on where Gramer might be or where he might be headed.
