WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- West Chester Twp. police arrested a 42-year-old Mason man for allegedly taking “up-skirt” photos of shoppers at a local Target.
Police arrested Brian Dente, of Bentwood Drive, after he turned himself in at the police station on Beckett Road at about 10 a.m. Tuesday. He was charged with two first degree misdemeanor counts of voyeurism, WCPO media partner the Journal-News reports.
Two different women reported someone allegedly taking pictures or video under their clothes while shopping at Target in the Voice of America shopping center.
Both reports were made on July 28, the first at around 11:30 a.m. and the second at 2:30 p.m., according to police reports.
Township spokeswoman Barb Wilson said police made contact with Dente after the incident near Target but did not have probable cause to arrest him.
“Police investigated, they searched the contents of his phone — which can take some time — and uncovered evidence that offered probable cause for the arrest,” Wilson told the Journal-News.
She said his attorney arranged for Dente to turn himself in.
Dente was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday but that hearing was continued until Nov. 27, because his attorney has asked for discovery, according to court records.
