CINCINNATI -- A woman narrowly escaped her kidnapper when his car broke down early Thursday morning, but the kidnapper himself is still on the loose, Cincinnati police said in a news release.

Police requested the public’s help locating 48-year-old Roger Rust, whom they said cornered his female victim at a bus stop and forced her into his SUV. He drove her to Kentucky, where the car failed and she was able to escape.

The news release described Rust as standing 5-feet-11-inches, with brown hair, blue eyes and distinctive neck tattoos of Batavia, Ohio, and the word "Lil" in flaming capital letters.

He could be in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky, police said. Anyone who sees him should contact Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
