Victims identified in Dearborn County double shooting that left 1 dead, 1 injured

AURORA, Ind. -- Police identified the victims in a double shooting Friday night that left one woman dead and her husband injured.

Police said Terry Storey, 55, is accused of shooting 30-year-old Brittany Black at about 7 p.m. Friday. She and her husband, Kyle Black, 37, were shot outside of their home. Brittany died at the scene; Kyle remains in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Storey lives near the Blacks along state Route 48, Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said.

Storey faces charges of murder and attempted murder. He also was charged with resisting law enforcement and battery on a law enforcement officer. Indiana State Police said he forcibly resisted arrest and battered a Dearborn County deputy.

Storey is being held at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
