CINCINNATI -- A suspect shot a Speedway employee and injured another during a robbery early Thursday morning, according to Cincinnati police.
The suspect shot one of the employees in the leg and hit the other employee in the head at about 3:40 a.m. at the Sedamsville Speedway on River Road. The suspect injured the employees after he ordered them to give him the cash in the register, police said.
First responders transported the employee who was shot to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Both employee's injuries are not life threatening. Several other people were shot at but not injured, police said.
Police said the suspect fled on foot westbound on River Road. He is a black man, about 6-feet tall and 180 pounds. He wears his hair in short braids, and he was was wearing white gloves, a black hoodie and a white T-shirt over his face. He was armed with a silver handgun.
The Speedway was closed Thursday morning as police collect evidence.
