OXFORD, Ohio -- A Miami University student is accused of receiving a package containing about a half kilogram of MDMA, according to the Oxford Police Department.
Mathew Maliekal, 20, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance Monday, police said.
Several agencies conducted a search warrant on a package addressed to Maliekal that was delivered to 320 N. Poplar St.
The package contained about 506 grams of MDMA, also known by the street name “Molly.” Authorities also found LSD, “marijuana hash from a butane extraction,” more MDMA and marijuana packaged for sale inside the home.
Maliekal is being held at the Butler County Jail. He may face additional charges pending laboratory analysis.
The Butler Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) task force, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and a United States Postal Inspector conducted the investigation.
