CINCINNATI -- A “highly intoxicated” man was apprehended with a Taser after taking an apparent joyride on a John Deere tractor Thursday morning at Bud Herbert Motors in Northside.
Twenty-nine-year-old Demetrius Hill is appearing in court Friday on charges of breaking and entering and obstructing official business after police arrested him at about 1 a.m. Thursday.
Police say they saw lights coming from inside a fenced-in area at Bud Herbert Motors on Spring Grove Avenue. Pulling into the business’ lot, officers say they saw Hill driving the tractor around the lot before he fled on foot. Hill disregarded orders to stop before officers used the Taser to take Hill into custody.
Police say Hill refused initial booking procedures and tried to refuse entering the Hamilton County Justice Center. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office records show Hill had one outstanding misdemeanor warrant and six misdemeanor capias on crimes including passing bad checks, assault, theft and driving under suspension.
