Man dies, another critically injured in Westwood shooting

CINCINNATI -- An 18-year-old man died and another was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a Tuesday night shooting at a Westwood apartment complex, according to Captain Dennis Swingley of the Cincinnati Police Department.

Both victims were alive at 9:17 p.m., when police arrived at 2447 Westwood Northern Boulevard and transported them to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Jul Jamar Gray Jr. was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.

The Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit will investigate the incident, Swingley said. Anyone with information about the incident should contact police or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
