MONROE, Ohio — Shots were fired in a Monroe neighborhood Monday night, police said, with one round striking a house.
Police are looking for the person or persons involved in the incident at 10:56 p.m. The home struck is located at the south end of Stone Ridge Lane.
No one was hurt. The motive for the incident is unknown, police said.
Officers investigated a similar incident weeks ago.
During the last weekend in March, police investigated a pair of weekend shootings on Brandon Drive, located less than two miles away.
Both targeted the same house, leaving fourteen bullet holes in the siding and 20 shell casings over the course of two visits. No one has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing, according to Officer Joshua King.
It’s unclear if the Brandon Drive shootings are connected to the shots fired incident on Stone Ridge Lane.
Any residents with information or security cameras that may show a suspect should call Monroe police at 513-539-9234.
