CINCINNATI -- Police arrested a mother after her 6-month-old daughter died of fentanyl poisoning.
Jessica Hayes, 38, is facing a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the death of her infant daughter, Danielle Hale, police announced Thursday.
Police and firefighters found Danielle dead while responding to a call for an unresponsive infant in a West End apartment March 1.
A detective wrote in court documents that Hayes admitted to using fentanyl in the girl's presence, and that Danielle died as a result of her behavior.
A judge set Hayes' bond at $15,000 Friday. Hayes will appear before a grand jury June 4.
