COVINGTON, Ky. -- A Kenton County jury sentenced a man to 90 years in prison Friday for a shooting that seriously injured a woman in Park Hills.

Curtis Snell, 34, received the sentence for four counts of wanton endangerment and being a persistent felony offender, the Kenton County Commonwealth's Attorney Office announced.

Snell had been involved in a bar fight at Muggbee's in Florence on May 19, 2016. Later that night, while riding as a passenger in a car, he shot multiple times at two other cars full of people who had also been involved.

One woman was struck in the abdomen and "underwent lifesaving surgery" at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, officials said. She has since recovered.

Snell will be eligible for parole after 20 years.

"It's great to see our Kenton County jurors take violent crime and repeat offenders just as seriously as we do," Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders said in a written statement.
