HILLSBORO, Ohio — Authorities have charged a suspect in fatal shooting after a three-day manhunt.
James Carver, 40, of New Vienna, is facing a murder charge in the death of 33-year-old Heather Camp, according to Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera.
Camp was taken to Adena Greenfield Medical Center early Tuesdays suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities had named Carver a "person of interest" in the case and said they were looking for him Thursday. The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and Dayton police arrested him later that day in Dayton, Ohio, according to Barrera.
Carver is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charge Monday in Hillsboro Municipal Court. He has also been charged with tampering with evidence in Highland County Court.
Barrera said Carver was on parole in Missouri at the time of the shooting.
The sheriff asked anyone with information about the incident to call the Highland County Sheriff's Office or Greenfield Police Department.
