ATHENS, Ohio – A grand jury indicted a 21-year-old man on charges related to the shooting death of a Cincinnati man in May, Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn announced this week.

John Michael Fults-Ganey was accused of driving 22-year-old Markel Morrison to a North McKinley Avenue apartment to rob the residents, Blackburn said in a news release.

Morrison was shot and killed by one of the apartment’s occupants, according to Blackburn.

Fults-Ganey faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and conspiracy.

He was being held in Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail and was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday.
