LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Ohio — A man charged with attempting to rape a 10-year-old girl is affiliated with a local youth track club, according to a sheriff's office spokesperson.
Gary "Kip" Flanigan, 52, of the Lincoln Heights Track Club is also charged with attempted gross sexual imposition by force.
Flanigan is in the Justice Center on $100,000 bond on each charge, according to jail records. His next scheduled court date is July 1.
The offense occurred at a home in Lincoln Heights, according to an affidavit by a Hamilton County detective. An adult witnessed the alleged assault, the affidavit says.
Flanigan works as a forklift operator, his attorney said in court.
