Fed: Two men stole more than 70 guns from Ohio, NKY stores

CINCINNATI -- Two men are accused of stealing more than 70 guns from stores in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky, according to a news release from the U.S. Dept. of Justice.

A federal grand jury indicted Ronquieze Head, 35, and Seronte Newby, 29, both from Cincinnati, on conspiracy to commit theft and theft from a federal firearms licensee. Head faces an additional charge of possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Each crime carries a maximum 10-year sentence.

U.S. Attorney Benjamin C. Glassman said, in the indictment, that Newby stole 20 firearms from from a Sharonville gun store on July 2. Then, both men stole 22 guns from a store in Florence on July 8. On July 16, both men stole 32 guns total from a Springboro store.
