CINCINNATI — Cincinnati police are seeking help from the public to identify a suspected porch pirate in College Hill.
Video released by Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers shows a man strolling up to a home on Savannah Avenue. He walks up the front porch steps, waits for a white pickup truck to pass the home and takes at least two items that were on the front porch.
The packages were stolen on Dec. 4.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the video should call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.

If you are a victim of a package theft, police advise you to contact your local law enforcement agency for investigation.
Here are more ways to protect your deliveries from porch theft:
- Have packages delivered to your work, so you can accept it immediately.
- Require a signature on all deliveries and insure your packages when possible.
- Post a security sign in your yard informing thieves that your home is under video surveillance or has security alarms.
- Use tracking services to get a better idea of when exactly your order will arrive, and ask a neighbor to pick up your package for you. UPS, USPS and FedEx all have tracking services.
