FAIRFIELD, Ohio — A woman is charged with negligent homicide in the shooting death of her husband, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
In a news release Tuesday, police said Subha Katel, 43, shot her husband Tika Katel, 57, at their home on Saturday.
Fairfield police responded to the 5800 block of Sigmon Way at about 3:15 p.m. Tika Katel was transported to the hospital by a medical helicopter. He died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Monday, two days after the shooting.
The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office is performing an autopsy. Katel’s death is listed in the coroner’s preliminary report as an apparent homicide.
