CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Police Department said Gregory Schermbeck, 30, was arrested Sunday.
According court records, he was charged with burglary and receiving stolen property. He's accused of selling 29 stolen guitars, then returning and burglarizing the home of the buyer. Documents say that, in addition to a crystal-clear surveillance video image, the suspect also left behind his wallet containing a medical card with his name on it.
The stolen guitars have a value close to $20,000, according to court documents. Schermbeck then allegedly smashed a window, broke into the buyer's home, stole $450 and rummaged through belongings.
