CINCINNATI — Authorities attempting to curb a violent trend near the University of Cincinnati campus are taking a unique action by shutting down parking in the area during targeted times.
Parking on West McMillan St. has been severely limited as an attempt to prevent more crime after three people were shot, one of them fatally, in the early hours of the morning of Monday, Sept. 7.
The targeted area is known for having large, disorderly crowds on both sides of the road.
Business owners complained to police about large amounts of litter and trash left behind.
The goal is to keep traffic flowing in the area and let those who want to enjoy a night on the town to do so safely.
