CINCINNATI — A 79-year-old man on Wednesday pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a toddler, United States Attorney David DeVillers announced in a news release.
DeVillers wrote that Thomas Winkelbach, a Cincinnat resident, had been “searching for, downloading and trading child pornography on the internet for years” before meeting the victim. He created explicit images of the victim, a young boy, in 2014 and 2015.
Winkelbach had accumulated thousands of pornographic images by the time of his arrest in 2019.
Following his guilty plea, he could spend between 15-30 years in prison.
