CINCINNATI — As 2020 comes to an end, WCPO 9 and other local media outlets are coming together to show a special program meant to create hope and solidarity among Tri-State residents as the area continues through the pandemic.

The program, called "Tri-State Strong: Getting to Zero," will bring together local business leaders, front-line hospital workers, local celebrities, faith-based organizers and others. Some of those in the program include Rev. Damon Lynch III, Cincinnati Reds COO Phil Castellini and restaurateurs Mike and Mark LaRosa.

The goal of the program is to show that everyone can do something to eliminate COVID-19 and help the Tri-State reach zero positive cases, zero hospitalizations, zero closures and zero deaths.

“Extraordinary times calls for extraordinary measures," Regional COVID Communications Center Executive Director Regina Carswell Russo said. "Journalists and our local media have been a powerful force in helping our region navigate this year. And now they are pulling that power together to set the region’s eyes on a common goal, Getting to Zero."

The program airs tonight at 7 p.m. on WCPO 9.
