CINCINNATI - A second firefighter tested positive for COVID-19, according to IAFF Local 48 president Matt Alter.

He said both union members who tested positive were doing well and recovering.

The firehouses where both victims were assigned have been deep cleaned and other first responders who could have been potentially exposed are self-quarantining and monitoring for symptoms.

Reports of the first Cincinnati firefighter to test positive for the coronavirus came out Saturday, April 4.

Alter released the information about the second affected firefighter in a Facebook post.
