NORWOOD, Ohio — Norwood Schools plan to return to full-time in-person instruction on Oct. 26 as long as Hamilton County remains at the orange level or better on Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s Public Health Advisory Alert System, superintendent Mary Ronan said in an email sent to parents Wednesday.

Originally, the district’s plan involved returning to five days per week at school after the county returned to orange level for 30 days, but that timeline was extended by the school board Tuesday night.

In the meantime, students will continue to attend Norwood Schools as part of a blended learning plan. Students with last names between A and K report for in-person instruction on Mondays and Tuesdays while those with last names L through Z are in buildings on Thursdays and Fridays.

Students not attending school will participate in virtual learning on Wednesday as buildings are cleaned. Families also had the option to go with 100% virtual instruction.
