FAIRFIELD, Ohio — The Fairfield Lane Library has closed for a second time this month due to a second employee testing positive for the novel coronavirus, the Journal-News reports.
Library officials were notified Wednesday evening and are working to determine a number of things, including how long the branch will be closed and which employees were potentially exposed, said Lane Library spokeswoman Carrie Mancuso. She said they are working to notify patrons that may have been in the library.
The employee last worked on July 11.
Mancuso said the Fairfield Lane Library is the busiest of its three branches, which includes Hamilton and Oxford. There have been no confirmed cases reported at the Hamilton and Oxford branches, she said.
The Fairfield Lane Library is at 1485 Corydale Drive, part of the Village Green Park in downtown Fairfield, the community that has seen the most COVID-19 cases in Butler County since the first reported confirmed case in mid-March.
