COVINGTON, Ky. — Charities are being stretched thin by the need associated with the coronavirus pandemic, and volunteers are in demand more than ever.

Tuesday afternoon, Be Concerned: The People's Pantry put out a call for all able-bodied volunteers to help distribute food to those in need.

The only requirements are the ability to wheel a cart full of groceries across a parking lot and help put bags of food into a trunk or back seat.

According to a post on the pantry's Facebook page, they provided groceries to more than 1,520 households in the month of March.

People interested in volunteering can email to info@beconcerned.org.

Be Concerned is also accepting donations via credit card or PayPal at http://www.beconcerned.org/home/donations.html. Checks can be send via mail to 1100 Pike Street Covington, KY 41011.
